WONDERKID film launched online
WONDERKID, a film depicting the turmoil facing a gay professional footballer, has been launched online and is free to watch.
The film, created by Rhys Chapman, looks to raise awareness of homophobia within football and give confidence to members of the LGBT community who are looking to find a pathway into the game.
Supported by Kick It Out alongside a number of organisations and individuals, including the likes of the Kevin Spacey Foundation and Sir Ian McKellen, WONDERKID was funded through a KickStarter campaign which helped bring the short film to life.
Starring Chris Mason, Martin Tyler and Geoff Shreeves, WONDERKID made its television debut on Sky Sports in November 2016 and has been screened at a number of events and activities in recent months.
The film is available via the WONDERKID website with the aim of reaching as many people as possible and in order to stimulate discussion around this topic.
