Women’s Champions League final at Craven Cottage tonight
Tickets are available on the gate for tonight’s (26 May) UEFA Women’s Champions League final between Olympique Lyonnais and 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam at Craven Cottage.
In a repeat of last year’s final, Lyon will be looking to avenge the apenalty shoot-out defeat they suffered at the hands of their German counterparts in Madrid.
England manager Hope Powell, said: “It shows women’s football, and the Women’s Champions League, is valued. We know that from the outset because we have both finals in the same week, in the same country.”
“Looking at the final last year, it was a fantastic game. I’m just hoping that it’s another great spectacle and that it showcases women’s football for what it is all about – good skill, good technical ability and a good professional approach.”
Tickets will be on sale right up until kick-off at 8pm, costing £3 for under-16s and £5 for adults.
