Vote #KlickItOut for the Charity Film Awards
The film produced by Kick It Out and Untitled Pictures for the Klick It Out campaign has been nominated for the Charity Film Awards – with the public voting process now open.
The Charity Film Awards have been created to celebrate the success of film in fundraising and to increase exposure of charities as well as encourage donations for good causes.
The Klick It Out film was seen over 900,000 times during the course of the campaign, which looked to raise awareness of football-related discrimination on social media. The film showed the potential consequences of posting abusive messages online.
During the campaign, the film was used as an educational and promotional tool to highlight the alarming rise of discrimination and hate published online.
The campaign also saw research undertaken with Brandwatch, a leading social media analytics company, which revealed over 22,000 discriminatory messages were posted in relation to the teams and players involved at Euro 2016.
