Spurs and Villa give their backing to Kick It Out
Kick It Out’s One Game, One Community weeks of action fixtures got underway yesterday (7 October) with the full backing of Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa at White Hart Lane.
With the weeks of action officially running from 18-29 October this year, certain dedicated matches fall either side of the 11-day initiative.
Raising awareness on behalf of the campaign, both sets of players warmed up in One Game, One Community t-shirts, coaching staff wore badges, and club employees and stadium stewards donned stickers.
During the break, Kick It Out mascot ‘Kio’ joined Spurs counterpart ‘Chirpy’ on the pitch and was able to meet and greet supporters, the organisation’s ‘Report It!’ advert was displayed on the big screen, and the stadium announcer spoke about Spurs’s continued support of the campaign and directed fans to www.kickitout.org.
In the matchday programme, there was content looking at upcoming weeks of action activity and a double-page spread focusing on Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas and his inclusion in the newly introduced Kick It Out XI.
