Sky Blues hero Busst promoting the power of football to unite
Coventry City legend David Busst will be joining Kick It Out to help promote its anti-discrimination message at St Paul’s C of E Primary School in Leamington Spa this Friday (7 June).
Busst, who played for the Sky Blues during the 1990’s and now works as community manager at the League One club, will be talking about the importance of football for all and his own premature retirement from the game after suffering a career-ending injury.
There will be a strong emphasis placed upon football’s ability to bring people together from all backgrounds, with Danny Lynch, head of media and communications at Kick It Out, discussing the strides made in tackling issues of racism and discrimination and the future challenges which still lie ahead.
The workshop, which runs from 10:45-11:45am, will round off with a Q&A with Busst
