Show Racism the Red Card to release groundbreaking research
Show Racism the Red Card is releasing a new research document, identifying the barriers to tackling racism and promoting equality in schools, at a special launch in London on 4 July.
In partnership with the National Union of Teachers (NUT), Show Racism the Red Card has produced “The Barriers to Tackling Racism and Promoting Equality in England’s Schools”, an investigation into issues of racism and inequality in the education system.
With research conducted across four different geographical areas, evidence was gathered through questionnaires distributed to teachers, interviews with people within the education system, and observations and journals, which recorded the responses of young people and teachers engaging in anti-racism education.
Taking place at Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, London WC1H 9BD, the event is running from 5.30pm-8pm.
Guest speakers include pioneering black footballers Leroy Rosenior and Luther Blissett, NUT General Secretary, Christine Blower, and Marcus Bhargava from London Metropolitan University.
