'Season of Action' in full swing across the country
This weekend sees three teams in the professional leagues host ‘Season of Action’ matches in honour of Kick It Out’s 20 year anniversary.
In the Premier League, Crystal Palace welcome title-chasers Manchester City to Selhurst Park on Sunday with the fixture being broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Players and officials will be donning Kick It Out emblazoned attire as both teams recognise the campaign.
Stevenage have selected today’s match against Walsall at the Lamex Stadium to promote Kick It Out as part of their ‘Season of Action’ activity.
The Hertfordshire-based outfit will be hoping to end the season on a positive note after relegation to League Two was confirmed last week. There will be tannoy announcements at the ground and other activities as the Boro show their support for the campaign.
In League Two, AFC Wimbledon have nominated their clash against Morecambe to Kick It Out.
Morecambe will be looking to preserve their League Two status before their own ‘Season of Action’ game next week when they host Bury.
Finally, the Kent FA is dedicating their Junior and Sunday cup finals to Kick It Out this weekend. There will be three finals across the county that will see over 100 players and officials taking part in recognising the campaign.
During the games, Kick It Out banners will be displayed with information being handed out to spectators about the campaign’s app and how to get involved.
