Roisin Wood appointed Kick It Out Director
Roisin Wood has been appointed the new Kick It Out Director.
Taking up the position on a full-time basis in June, Roisin has previous football industry experience having spent over three years at the Football Foundation as Head of Equalities and Diversity.
Roisin, a native of County Down in Northern Ireland, has also held positions as the Partnership Manager at the London Borough of Redbridge Council and the Community Engagement Manager in the Metropolitan Police Service, and has experience in community development within divided communites after working for the Community Foundation in Northern Ireland.
“This is a challenging but exciting time for Kick It Out and I am looking forward to leading the organisation through its next phase,” Roisin commented. “I am hoping my experience in issues around anti-discrimination work, both from a professional and personal perspective, can stand me in good stead for the challenges ahead.”
The Chairman of Kick It Out, Lord Herman Ouseley, said: “The Trustees are delighted to have appointed Roisin and we look forward to her leading our small team of staff, working in partnership with our sponsors, supporters, stakeholders and other campaigning groups to make football in England fairer, more inclusive and free from discrimination and harassment.”
