‘Raring to go’; Tim all set for bike challenge for Kick It Out
Tim Bell will embark on his gruelling fundraising bike ride for Kick It Out on Monday 15 July.
He will set off on the infamous Land’s End to John o’Groats route; one of the most popular and challenging routes for cycling enthusiasts.
He has already raised nearly £1,000 for Kick It Out so far and hopes to raise £2,500-£3,000 by the end of his task.
Tim aims to complete the challenge in nine days despite it tending to take up to 14 days for most cyclists.
“The first two days will be the toughest. We have had to reduce it to nine days due to the hot weather,” said the 23-year-old.
He will be supported by his friend, Jamie Henley, for the duration of route. With the start of the challenge looming, Tim has left no stone unturned and has made sure he is well prepared.
“I’ve been eating and training well to prepare for my body being taken to the limit,” said Tim. “I’ve been eating a lot of pasta and other healthy meals to make sure I’m in top condition for the start.”
He added: “I am all prepared, I have all my equipment ready and all my train tickets booked. I’m raring to go.”
