QPR release first film commissioned for Black History Month

To celebrate Black History Month in October, QPR in the Community Trust have commissioned two short films in celebration of Black History Month, the first of which has now been released.

The two films have been created in partnership with Jason Nwansi, a professional poet and film-maker.

The first film is called ‘My Badge is My Culture’ and features a specially penned poem, read out by Jason against clips of classic footage involving the West London side, as well as Academy product, Gianni Crichlow, showcasing his skills.

Later this week a short documentary will also be released, featuring former striker and current QPR Director of Football Les Ferdinand, alongside members of the Community Trust. The film discusses race within football and will be released on Friday 30 October.
