Pakistan International XI to take on Woking
A special friendly match has been arranged between Pakistan International XI and Woking FC at the Blue Square South team’s Kingfield ground on Sunday 1st August at 5pm.
The Pakistan International XI will be made up of talented players from across Europe with Pakistani heritage including a few who have represented the Pakistan national side.
The team will have players who have performed in the Football League and at non-league level. Those expected to play include Zesh Rehman (Bradford City), former Tranmere Rovers man Adnan Ahmed, Reis Ashraf (Buckingham Town), Atif Bashir (Barry Town) and Shabir Khan (Worcester City).
The idea was conceived by Touchsky Sports and Shahid Azeem, chairman of Woking FC. They see it as an opportunity to provide a platform for players to showcase their talent and provide positive role models for their community.
