New exhibition documents history of Jewish people and football
The Jewish Museum will mark the opening of an exhibition documenting the story of Jewish groups and individuals, and football, in London on 9 October.
The exhibition, titled ‘Four Four Jew – football, fans and faith’, will run from 10 October 2013 to 24 February 2014.
The new feature at the Jewish Museum will bring together old and new film footage, memorabilia and rare objects.
There will also be fun interactive elements to tell the story of the clubs, the players, the Chairmen, the fans, and the ‘religion’ that is the beautiful game.
Danny Lynch, Head of Media & Communications at Kick It Out, is thrilled that this exhibition has been set up.
“We are delighted to be supporting this great exhibition,” said Danny. “We hope people take this opportunity to learn more about the rich history of Jewish people and football”
