Netan Sansara becomes first British Asian in Cypriot League
Netan Sansara has joined Cypriot club PAEEK, becoming the first ever British Asian footballer to play in the Cypriot League.
The former Walsall and England Under-19 left-back, said: “I had other offers this summer, but PAEEK is a great opportunity for me. After discussing my options with my father and my agent, James Garley, I decided this is a great move for my career.”
Netan, who is eligible to represent India at international level, has most recently featured for Dundee and Corby Town.
He continued: “It can be the catalyst to progress my career further. I feel fit and strong and ready to hit the ground running. We have a great opportunity to gain promotion this season and I want to play a major role in making that happen.”
