Manchester City head ‘Season of Action’ fixtures this weekend
The Premier League clash between Manchester City and Swansea City will be headlining this weekend’s ‘Season of Action’ fixtures as four games are dedicated to recognising Kick It Out’s 20 year anniversary.
The north-west giants will take on Swansea at the Etihad Stadium on 1 December fresh from inflicting a heavy 6-0 defeat on Tottenham Hotspur last week.
Manchester City’s mascots Moonchester and Moonbeam will both wear Kick It Out’s special anniversary t shirts with pride at the game.
The club’s designated fan zone, BT City Square, will also pay tribute to the organisation as presenters, whilst wearing Kick It Out merchandise, inform their audience of the work the campaign has been undertaking over the last 20 years.
On Friday (29 November), the Nottingham Forest team, featuring ‘Next 20’ ambassadors Nathaniel Chalobah and Jamal Lascelles, will tackle Reading at the City Ground.
In the other Championship fixtures, Barnsley will play Birmingham City and Bournemouth will host Brighton & Hove Albion at the Goldsands Stadium on Saturday (30 November).
In all these matches, the players of both sets of teams will warm up in the Kick It Out anniversary t shirts and an announcement from the club will be relayed to the crowd via the tannoy system underlining their support for Kick It Out in tackling discrimination out of the game.
