LondonEnglandfans event this Thursday
Kick It Out and LondonEnglandfans are hosting a panel discussion with a selection of the world’s leading football journalists about foreign influence on the English game this Thursday.
The panellists from overseas will be descending upon London for ‘Do they mean us? A foreign view of English football’ – a question time event looking at whether a cosmopolitan Premier League is helping or hindering the performance of the England national team.
As part of the 2010 Kick It Out Weeks of Action, the speakers will be giving their own unique perspective of the current state of the English game.
This FREE event will be taking place at The New Red Lion, 271 City Road, London EC1. Starting at 7pm, all are welcome to attend.
The journalists on the panel are as follows:
Marcela Mora y Araujo, Argentinian football journalist – Araujo specialises in South American football, translated Diego Maradona’s autobiography, El Diego, into English, and provided the expertise for the BBC World Cup Stories – Argentina programme, which won the RTS Sport Documentary of the year award for 2006.
Philippe Auclair, French football correspondent – reporting for France Football for over a decade, Auclair is also Radio Monte Carlo’s main match commentator and English football analyst. A bestselling author in his native France his book Cantona was published last year.

Begona Perez, Spanish sports feature writer – journalist for newspaper El Mundo, Perez also works as correspondent for Cadena Cope radio station and La Sexta TV channel.
