Lincoln schoolchildren paint Keith Alexander tribute
A mural painted in honour of former Lincoln manager Keith Alexander has been unveiled at a county school.
The artwork depicting former Imps manager Alexander, who died in March, was painted on a wall at Cherry Willingham School. The school recently dedicated its new state-of-the-art artificial pitch to Keith.
The mural was commissioned as part of the dedication ceremony and to mark a partnership created between the school and Mr Alexander’s brother, Delroy, who is chairman of the Sacred Sports Foundation in St Lucia.
Head teacher Ed Fitzpatrick said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the result and hopefully Keith’s family will think it is a fitting tribute to him.
“It has so much in it that was important to him, it shows Lincoln as well as St Lucia and his involvement in the Kick It Out campaign.”
The mural was painted by pupils at the school along with professional artist Sally Lidgett.
