Leeds grassroots club looking for coaches
An FA Charter Standard Community Club in Leeds is looking for coaches across all age groups for the remainder of the 2010/11 season and beyond.
Middleton Park Football Club is an FA Charter Standard Community Club for Junior Players aged 4-16 and Open Age Players aged 16+. The Club is 100% volunteer driven and located within the Middleton & Belle isle districts of Leeds.
Experience in coaching is desirable but not essential as the club operates a mentoring programme and is also able to contribute towards the cost of coaching qualifications.
Based in South Leeds, training takes place on Wednesday and Thursday evenings for U8s, U9s and Open Age. All other age groups train and play matches on a weekend.
Awarded the ‘West Riding Charter Standard Club of the Year 2010’, the club is making great strides in the community and has one of the fastest growing girls sections in the area.
Club manager Dan Robinson explained: “Volunteering is an integral part of any community, especially ours. As one of the top 5% deprived areas in the country, we need to make a real difference.
“With a progressive 10 year development plan as an FA Charter Standard Community Club, Middleton Park aims to encourage volunteering and engage the community in positive activity.
“The club then rewards volunteers for giving something back to their community but arming them with employability skills to combat the high level of unemployment in the area.”
