Kick It Out youth advisory group ASPIRE to host free event and World Cup screening
ASPIRE, Kick It Out’s youth advisory group, are hosting a free event for young people at Birmingham City Football Club on Saturday 14 July – with food, drink and a chance to watch the World Cup third place play-off!
Held in the Legends Lounge at St. Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium, ‘Fire Up Your Football Future’ offers young people aged 16 to 25 a chance to discuss how best to help promote equality and diversity in football.
The event, which is also open to guardians and carers, will allow guests to learn about ASPIRE members’ experiences supporting Kick It Out’s youth work. There will also be the chance to network and speak to football industry professionals.
Beginning at 12pm, the forum will consist of two panels, with guests then welcome to stay for a screening of the World Cup third place play-off game that kicks off at 3pm!
Tyra, co-chair of the group, said: “ASPIRE’s symposium seeks to empower a young generation of upcoming leaders in football, by equipping them with practical tools and networks to enable them to increase inclusivity through changing a traditionally cliquey culture that has existed in the English game for years.”
Food and refreshments will be available on the day for attendees and guests. If you have any dietary, access or other requirements please email aspire@kickitout.org by Saturday 7 July so your request can be facilitated.
