Kick It Out support Fair Play programme in Worcester
Kick It Out visited Royal Grammar School Worcester on Tuesday 27 October as the organisation supported the Football Against Intolerance & Racism project (FAIR Play) run by Experiment in International Living UK (EIL UK).
Cory Hendricks-Jackman, Grassroots Football Development Officer at Kick It Out, delivered a workshop to students at Royal Grammar School about the organisation’s work.
The group discussed different forms of discrimination and how this affects behaviours in society as well as in football. The workshop was part of a week-long programme designed by FAIR Play with the group voting Cory’s session the best of the week.
Speaking after the workshop, Karen Morris, Cultural Programmes Manager at EIL UK, was pleased Kick It Out participated in the programme.
“We cannot run these programmes without the support of organisations such as Kick It Out and I can’t tell you how grateful we were that Cory was able to join us.
“A huge thank you to Kick It Out for helping us provide a platform for young peoples to think about equality and diversity issues, and what they can do to combat racism and intolerance in their own communities.”
