Kick It Out support Everycolour choirs at Manchester City
The Everycolour project, supported by Kick It Out, saw two choirs from local schools launch this year’s World Cup project at both Manchester City men’s and women’s fixtures earlier this month.
The project uses the popularity of football to promote positive values that tackle discrimination.
Everycolour will be following the England team at the Women’s World Cup starting in June, with the Everycolour Blog going live on 6 June, the first day of the tournament.
Singing the project’s theme tune ‘Dare To Dream’, both Broad Oak Primary School and Didsbury CE primary schools thrilled crowds in attendance at both matches. Broad Oak closed the pre-match show at City Square before the men’s game against QPR on 10 May, whilst Didsbury CE sang on the pitch before the women’s game against Chelsea Ladies FC on 11 May.
John Conibear, lead on the project, said: “Everycolour celebrates football fans who, regardless of which club they follow or which community they come from, join together to support England at the World Cup.”
