Kick It Out recruiting individual members for Professional Game Guidance Group
Kick It Out is seeking to recruit individual members to join its Professional Game Guidance Group, to advise and support the organisation’s strategies, objectives and actions.
The group member will influence, support and guide Kick It Out to embed equality practices and processes across all areas of professional football.
They will also have an excellent understanding of the game and will form part of a consultative group for the organisation.
The role is voluntary, but where necessary travel expenses will be reimbursed. The group meets in person four times a year.
The key aims of the group are as follows:
- Ensuring that the Kick It Out brand and its messages are clear about what the organisation does and what it offers, guaranteeing clubs are aware of how it helps tackle all forms of discrimination.
- Embedding football’s Equality Standard and Code of Practice; proactively engaging with clubs to assist them to achieve levels of the respective frameworks; communicating the progressive route between the two; sharing good practice and celebrating successes.
- Developing and delivering new and innovative ideas to tackle discrimination and promote equality across the professional area of the game.
- Co-ordinating campaigns seeking to engage with professional clubs that tackle discrimination and promote equality; providing an annual calendar of activities; communicating the significance and relevance of each campaign and facilitating clubs to select from a ‘menu’ of opportunities that meets their specific club needs.
