Kick It Out join Sports Weekly for discussion on diversity in sport

Troy Townsend, Kick It Out’s Education and Development Officer, joined Sports Weekly, a new programme on the Islam Channel, to discuss the issues surrounding diversity in sport.

Troy was joined by Marshall Norbal, part of The Black Collective of Media in Sport (BCOMS) group, as they discussed with Sports Weekly presenter Neil Reynolds a number of issues including the lack of diversity relating to senior management positions at clubs and organisations as well as representation of Black and Minority Ethnic journalists within the media industry.

During the discussion, Troy mentioned the work of Kick It Out through its Raise Your Game series and the educational workshops provided to Premier League and English Football League clubs through the Equality Inspires and EFL Life Skills programme respectively.
