Kick It Out ambassador Regis helps launch Grass Roots Football Live
Kick It Out ambassador Cyrille Regis helped launch the Grass Roots Football Live Show in Birmingham today.
Regis, was present at the launch, and welcomed the chance to be part of the show stating: “I am delighted to be a part of the Grass Roots Football Live show, as I believe that it is important to recognise amateur and grassroots football.”
Regis made 610 league appearances, scoring 159 league goals for sides including West Brom and Coventry City. He has become a focal point in football for breaking down barriers and rising above racist taunting.
The Grass Roots Football Live show takes place from 4th to 6th June and is aimed at everyone involved in grassroots football, from team managers and coaches to club officials and players of all ages, offering visitors access to the UK’s biggest football exhibition.
Steve Chittenden The show’s organiser said: “This year’s show will capture the imagination of all football fans through coaching demos, lively discussions and hot debates, along with a skill zone for young players to receive expert coaching.”
