Join Sodje brothers at charity dinner
The Sodje Sports Foundation, a charity established by sporting brothers Efe, Sam, Steve, Akpo and Bright, is hosting a fundraising dinner at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester tomorrow evening (21 September).
Raising money and awareness for the Foundation, the Sodje brothers are working towards building a sports centre near Asaba Airport in Nigeria. For the past 10 years, the brothers have been travelling back to their homeland with donated kit and supplies to help train youngsters wanting to play football.
The event includes a Q&A with the brothers and Johnny Nelson, a former world champion boxer, an auction, a three course meal, and entertainment from YolanDa Brown, a British jazz urban contemporary saxophonist, and Jessica Hobson, a young up-and-coming singer who featured on Britain’s Got Talent.
Gold tickets for the event are priced at £100, with platinum tickets at £150. Both tickets include entry to the aftershow party at Panacea restaurant and bar.

The Foundation will also be making a substantial donation to the New Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, the charity supported by Kick It Out ambassador and Everton defender, Phil Neville, and his wife Julie.
Efe, who plays for Bury in League One, recently visited the hospital to meet some of the children receiving treatment for cancer. He said: “It was an eye-opening experience. When you see what these kids have to go through and how they take it in their stride – it just blows you away. It really puts things into perspective.
“We all have a moan sometimes but really, we have nothing to moan about. The kids and staff here are nothing less than inspirational and it’s fantastic that we can make a difference by raising funds for them. Please help us to help them.”
