Ipswich Town and Bristol City celebrate Kick It Out’s 20 year anniversary
Ipswich Town and Bristol City both marked their ‘Season of Action’ fixtures this past week on 19 October and 22 October respectively.
Bristol and Ipswich players proudly donned the special Kick It Out anniversary t shirts as mascots displayed the organisation’s banner to the crowd.
The crowds at Portman Road and Ashton Gate were both informed of the key values and achievements of the organisation through a tannoy announcement.
Ipswich commemorated the 20 years of campaigning by Kick It Out with a special football session, organised in partnership with Suffolk FA and Ormiston Children & Families Trust, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds living in the local community.
The participants, who are all local to Portman Road, displayed their skills on the practice pitch prior to kick off.
The club actively sought to engage with people from Ipswich who are from differing social and cultural backgrounds, including members of the Polish community.
Attendees were also provided with tickets to watch Ipswich’s 1-0 defeat to Burnley, with a few watching their first live football match.
