Heart 4 More celebrates its first anniversary
The Heart 4 More Foundation is celebrating its first anniversary by hosting a fundraising dinner on Saturday 14 February at Mayfair’s Westbury Hotel.
The Foundation was founded by former Millwall striker Tobi Alabi, who suffered a heart attack and a cardiac arrest, all before being 21. His condition triggered a retirement from football at the age of 19.
The first year of the Foundation has been filled with community events, defibrillator placements in schools, and launching community initiatives.
Tobi said: “It’s incredible the great strides we have made, from facing depression in a hospital bed to celebrating the one year anniversary of an idea I had. We’ve already impacted so many lives in a positive manner, although this is only the beginning.
“The dinner will be a great opportunity to showcase what we have achieved to date and most importantly raise money for a great organisation doing exceptional things.”
Saturday’s event, labelled ‘Heart 4 Amour’ to coincide with Valentines’ Day will see presentations for the year that has passed as well as the bright future that lies ahead. Fundraising activity will include a raffle and an auction, while there will live music from British RnB band Rough Copy.
