Hampshire FA Seek Equality Champions to Join Inclusion Advisory Group

Kick It Out’s media partner Hampshire FA are seeking Equality Champions to join their Inclusion Advisory Group and represent the community by helping to shape equitable football delivery across the county.

In 2014, the Hampshire FA established the Inclusion Advisory Group, and after three successful years they’re looking to refresh their membership, ensuring it continues to be representative of the community they service.

The role of the IAG is to achieve the following through the delivery of an Inclusion Action Plan owned by the group:

  1. Provide expert advice, guidance and recommendations to the Hampshire FA Board
  2. Check and challenge the work Hampshire FA does
  3. Embed good practice into Hampshire FA delivery
  4. Ensure the Hampshire community receives fair and accessible football opportunities/services

If you would like the opportunity to champion the cause of one or more of the communities listed below please review the relevant profiles on www.hampshirefa.com and complete an expression of interest prior to November 30 2017.  After the closing date, shortlisted candidates will be contacted to arrange informal telephone/face-to-face interviews before final selections are made.

They are looking for Equality Champions to represent the following groups:

  • People aged 55+
  • Young people
  • Females
  • Black and minority ethnic groups
  • Disabled people
  • Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender

The minimum requirement is to attend four meetings per year and contribute to positive discussions with ad hoc additional events relevant to your expertise as required.

If you are interested in being a part of the discussion but not able to engage with this level of commitment, Hampshire FA are also looking for Community and Equality Stakeholders to engage in insight gathering activities from time to time (see role profiles on the website).
