Football Beyond Borders crowdfunding to set up Youtube channel
London based youth charity Football Beyond Borders (FBB) is running a crowdfunding campaign to set up a YouTube channel.
Titled FBB TV, the channel will provide an inclusive platform for young participants from Football Beyond Borders school projects to film, produce and star in their own videos; with experienced industry professionals supporting them as co-producers and mentors.
Each show will feature high-profile personalities from the world of football being interviewed by Football Beyond Borders youth participants.
Thanks to support from YouTube channel Copa90 and FBB patron Guillem Balague, FBB TV has filmed a pilot show that we will be launched alongside a crowdfunding campaign on JustGiving.
The Channel will train young participants with the charity, aged 11-25, to produce videos and other multimedia content, resulting in fresh and engaging programmes with a youth focus. They will also be trained in transferable skills they can take into the workplace.
Jasper Kain, Football Beyond Borders founder, said: “FBB TV will develop the potential of the next generation of pundits, presenters and producers by bringing together household names in football with budding young talents.
“As an aspiring film-maker myself I was lucky enough to have access to key networks and guidance to get a foothold in the profession. FBB TV will provide a more inclusive platform for young people from all backgrounds to learn these valuable skills and develop their talent.”
Sky Sports presenter Balague said: “FBB TV is a brilliant idea and it was a real pleasure to be interviewed by an immensely talented 12 year old in the first show.
“I have interviewed some of the biggest names in football myself, from Lionel Messi to Cesc Fabregas and I know that developing the craft takes hours of practice and determination. FBB TV provides the perfect platform for young people to hone these skills and develop as human beings.”
