FARE launches ‘Football People’ events grant
The Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) has made €30,000 available to fund 10 events across Europe aiming to tackle discrimination and social exclusion as part of its ‘Football People’ action weeks in October 2014.
The ‘Football People’ events grant is a scheme which supports activities that will highlight the work of FARE during the two-week period as European football stands up against discrimination. Applicants will be able to apply for €3,000 each.
The scheme opened for applicants last week with last year’s funded projects including events on racism, homophobia and gender in Slovenia, Spain and Germany.
Ike Chime, Finnish FARE Board, said: “The FARE action weeks are now the biggest activity of their type in Europe. We want people to join us and organise events that can be a marker for the period. The grants of up to €3,000 are easy to apply for if you have a big that is far-reaching and innovative.”
