Fans for Diversity XI to play at Watford’s Vicarage Road Stadium
A ‘Fans for Diversity’ team will play at Watford’s Vicarage Road Stadium at a tournament organised by Sports 4 Wellbeing and Soccer League UK with help from the campaign’s fund.
Taking place on Tuesday 19 May, a team led by ‘Fans for Diversity’ lead Anwar Uddin will take to the pitch to play against a team made up of football supporters from the Bedford community.
Anwar’s team will consist of former professional players and members of Kick It Out and Football Supporters’ Federation (FSF) staff. The game will support the final of the Road To Vicarage Road tournament arranged by Sports 4 Wellbeing and Soccer League UK.
The initial stages were played on 9 and 10 May with Renhold United FC and Liberties FC earning their paths to the final to face each other at the home of the Hornets. The qualifying games showed their support to the victims of the recent earthquakes in Nepal by donating funds raised during the two days of competition.
The matches will be played at Vicarage Road thanks to funds provided from ‘Fans for Diversity’. To find out more visit www.soccerleagueuk.com
