Everton and Tottenham volunteers earn awards
Volunteers from the Everton and Tottenham Hotspur Foundations have received awards recognising their work.
The pair, Jamie Heaton from the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and Henry Mooney from Everton in the Community have been recognised for all their efforts with accolades from the Torch Trophy Trust.
The Torch Trophy Trust Awards are presented annually to nominations from Sports Governing Bodies, including non-disabled and disabled and Youth Organisations, to recognise grassroots voluntary work for sport in clubs and community initiatives.
The awards were presented by the Duke of Gloucester in the presence of Manchester United and England legend Sir Bobby Charlton, president of the Torch Trophy Trust.
In selecting a successful candidate, the trustees take into account the type of volunteering, length of service and the circumstances under which the nominee has been put forward.
