Derbyshire FA backing weeks of action
Derbyshire FA, in conjunction with the University of Derby, is running two events looking to highlight issues around discrimination and diversity in sport as part of the forthcoming One Game, One Community weeks of action.
‘Football v Homophobia: Is Football Ready for an Out Gay Player?’
An open debate including a panel of representatives supplied by Kick It Out, Derbyshire County FA, University of Derby, University of Derby Athletic Union, Derby County FC and Derbyshire Friend.
This event is free of charge and takes place on Monday 22 October, running from 6.30-8.30pm at University of Derby Enterprise Centre, Bridge Street, Derby, DE1 3LD.
‘Faith in Sport: Does Your Faith Influence Your Sport?’
An open debate focused around whether faith a barrier to participation in sport and are National Governing Bodies such as The FA doing enough to combat discrimination in sport.
This event is free of charge and takes place on Tuesday 6 November, running from 6.30-8.30pm at the Multi-Faith Centre, the University of Derby, Kedleston Road, DE22 1GB.
