Cisse: 'Scoring goals can save lives'
Papiss Cisse has launched a life-saving initiative in his home country of Senegal.
In an interview with the Newcastle Chronicle’s Lee Ryder, the Newcastle United striker revealed his campaign which will help provide an ambulance for the charity, Friends of Sedihou.
and how his profile in his home country can help make this a reality.
“Of course my job is to play for Newcastle and make sure to help make wins and score goals. Every single week I am making a lot of effort to get to my objectives.
“But like any footballer from anywhere I fly the flag for where I am from – in my case Sedihou.
“My dream is to make sure Sedihou is known in the world. I am doing my best to score goals, if that helps Sedihou be recognised.
“As a Muslim I always believe with hard work you will succeed.”
