Celebrity charity match raising funds for SRtRC
Blue Square Bet South side Bromley are hosting a celebrity charity match set up to raise money for Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) this Sunday (23 September).
Kicking off at 1pm, the match will see teams led by film icon Tamer Hassan, star of ‘The Football Factory’ and ‘The Business’, and Eastenders actor Shane Richie line up against each other.
Looking forward to the event, Ged Grebby, chief executive of SRtRC, said: “It’s an exciting development for SRtRC and as well as being a new high-profile partnership carries on a great tradition of actors supporting our events and aims.
“I look forward to working with Tamer and Butterfly PR on the upcoming celebrity match, which I’m sure will help raise the profile of SRtRC and help to combat discrimination in sport and society.”
PFA chairman Clarke Carlisle, former Charlton Athletic midfielder Jason Euell, ex-Rotherham United and Sunderland striker Darren Byfield, Norwich City man Bradley Johnson, and Chelsea legends Frank Sinclair and Paul Canoville, will all be featuring on the day alongside a whole host of celebrities.
The match will be followed by a dinner and celebrity auction led by Tamer, with donations from David Beckham, Salomon Kalou, Shane Richie, Luther Blissett, Rio Ferdinand, Darren Campbell and many more on offer.
Tickets bought in advance for the game are £10 for adults, and £5 for children and seniors. Tickets bought on the gate are £15 for all. Gala dinner and celebrity auction tickets are £50.
