CARE Partnership celebrates weeks of action
Charlton Athletic and Greenwich Council, through their joint CARE Partnership initiative, mark their 19th annual Red, White and Black Day at tomorrow’s League One match against Carlisle United, by celebrating the One Game, One Community weeks of action.
CARE is the only project of its kind, with a specific focus on equality, diversity and cohesion, to be led by a local authority and professional football club, and has been pivotal in anti-racism campaigning, is holding a day of action at The Valley.
Kick It Out ambassador, Paul Elliott, a long standing supporter of the CARE partnership, will join Council Leader, Councillor Chris Roberts in carrying a unity flag onto the pitch ahead of kick-off. And they will be joined by 100-year-old Charlton fan Fred Salter and a 12-week-old baby to illustrate the importance of the message crossing generations.
