Canaries show support to Kick It Out with dedicated game
Norwich City will display their support to Kick It Out this weekend as they dedicate their Premier League fixture against Liverpool on Saturday (23 January) to the organisation.
The Canaries, currently sitting 16th in the Premier League table, take on the Reds in the early match with kick-off scheduled for 12:45pm and the game broadcast live on BT Sport.
Both teams will wear Kick It Out t-shirts in the pre-match warm-up prior to the match starting at Carrow Road. The club are also offering fans the opportunity to win a signed shirt from the team in the Family Fanzone.
Norwich currently have two of the organisation’s current ambassadors in their squad. Andre Wisdom and Nathan Redmond are part of the ‘Next 20’ initiative, which sees 20 young players from across the Premier League, Football League and Women’s Super League support the messages of equality and inclusion.
The duo joined Kick It Out in December 2015 for an anti-discrimination workshop delivered to the club’s Futsal College students. To read more on the event, click here.
Ahead of the fixture, ‘Next 20’ star Nathan said: “I’m delighted we have dedicated our game against Liverpool to the work of Kick It Out.
“I‘ve been fortunate enough in my role as a ‘Next 20’ ambassador to see some of the great work they are doing to promote fairness and equality in football.”
“I hope all Norwich fans support the message of Kick It Out and make it an occasion to remember at Carrow Road.”
