Burnley and Southend hosting ‘Season of Action’ matches
Burnley and Southend United will both hold ‘Season of Action’ fixtures this weekend as the Clarets and Shrimpers dedicate their games to Kick It Out’s 20 year anniversary.
Second place Burnley welcome league leaders Leicester City in a crucial clash at the top of the Championship with the game being broadcast live on Sky Sports allowing both teams to display their support of Kick It Out to a nationwide audience.
Players from the Clarets and the Foxes will don Kick It Out t-shirts in the pre-match build up whilst the managers and staff of each club will wear badges with the campaign on display across all sections of Turf Moor.
On the Essex coast, Southend United welcome Torquay United to Roots Hall. Roisin Wood, Director of Kick It Out, will be in attendance at the match with both sides seeking much-needed points for differing reasons in League Two as Southend aim for promotion whilst Torquay attempt to avoid relegation.
The Shrimpers are hosting a community day alongside the match dedicated to Kick It Out prior to kick off of their league clash against the Gulls.
