Bradford and Tottenham dedicate games to Kick It Out
Bradford City and Tottenham Hotspur have nominated their home fixtures this weekend to recognise the work of Kick It Out.
League One Bradford will entertain Southend United for their dedicated fixture on Saturday 12 December.
The Bantams will welcome Shapla Football Club for the game as they support the club founded by the local Bangladeshi community. Shapla Football Club was launched in February 2015 with help from Kick It Out and the Fans For Diversity campaign.
Shapla will host an all girls tournament at the BEAP Community centre prior to the dedicated fixture at Coral Windows Stadium. The participants of the tournament are girls from the weekly Saturday morning coaching session, which is run by three women coaches.
Bradford have offered tickets to all the participants and coaches, with the winners of the tournament selecting the man of the match for the dedicated game.
In the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur have nominated their clash against against Newcastle United on Sunday 13 December.
The Lilywhites and Kick It Out showed their support to UK Disability History Month recently as ‘Next 20’ ambassador Ben Davies visited the Supported Learning centre at Barnet and Southgate College.
Ben was joined by Spurs team-mate Christian Eriksen as they took part in a number of activities alongside the college students, including a game of clockwork cricket.
