Bantams to welcome Shapla for dedicated game
League One club Bradford City have nominated their home fixture against Fleetwood Town this weekend to recognise the work of Kick It Out.
Bradford have chosen the fixture against Fleetwood following the postponement of their original dedicated game against Southend United on Saturday 12 December.
The Bantams will welcome Shapla Football Club for the game as they support the club founded by the local Bangladeshi community. Shapla Football Club was launched in February 2015, supported by Kick It Out and the Fans For Diversity campaign, with a unique event that saw 100 local children participate.
The event also saw a partnership meeting take place between Shapla, Bradford City and West Riding County Football Association to help increase Asian participation in football. To find more about the event, click here.
Members of Shapla watching the match at Coral Windows Stadium will also get the opportunity to select the man of the match award for the dedicated game.
