BACC host inaugural ‘One Game, One Community’ tournament
The British Asian Club Championship’s (BACC) inaugural ‘One Game, One Community’football tournament, held in conjunction with Kick It Out, The FA and Sporting Khalsa, took place in Newcastle-Under-Lyme on Sunday (20 May).
Hosted at the Gordon Banks Sports Centre, the competition consisted of categories for Under 8s, Under 10s, Under 12s, and Over 35s, with teams travelling across the Midlands and London to take part.
In the semi-professional section, West Midlands Regional Premier Division side Sporting Khalsa defeated Spartan South Midlands Premier Division outfit London Tigers 6-2 in the
final.
The organisers are now welcoming applications from people across all sectors of the community for their next tournaments, which take place at Lilleshall National Sports Centre and Sandwell Valley Country Park in June and July. The tournaments will host junior teams from Under 7s through to Under 15s, adults and veterans over 35.
