Asian Football Awards launched to celebrate Asians in Football
The inaugural Asian Football Awards (AFA), supported by The FA and Kick It Out, is taking place at Wembley Stadium on 24 January.
Launched to recognise the outstanding contribution to both the professional game and grass roots initiatives by individuals and groups across the UK with South Asian heritage, the awards will focus on strides made in developing Asians in Football.
Initial nominations include:

Permi Jhooti (FIFA Ambassador)

Tony Fernandes (Queens Park Rangers FC)

Imran Hassan, Co-Founder of the Asian Football Awards, said: “We have seen positive movement within the development of Asians in the game. We feel that recognition and acknowledgement of individuals and organisations is a fundamental part of developing more individuals in the professional game.”
