Apply for a position on The FA’s Disability Football Committee
The FA has announced that it is seeking to recruit new independent members to its Disability Football Committee (DFC).
The DFC was set up in 2013 as part of the governing body’s continued drive towards inclusion, and has four independent representatives, as well as a clear process for electing representatives.
The FA is now looking for committed and passionate individuals with a variety of backgrounds, experiences and perspective to help guide and drive forward its disability equality agenda and the operations and development of disability football in England.
The appointments are on a voluntary basis, however an attendance allowance of £120 per meeting is available. If you are interested in applying please complete the application form and return it by email or by post, along with a current CV to Alex Cavanagh at The FA. The application form, as well as contact details for Alex, are provided below.
The FA would also appreciate it if members could complete the diversity monitoring form, which is provided under ‘key documents’ below. Completion is entirely optional, however, it offers The FA an opportunity to track and monitor interests from different parts of the community.
If you feel you require more information about the role or need assistance with your application, contact Jeff Davis, The FA’s National Elite Development Manager (Disability) at Jeff.Davis@TheFA.com. Conversation will be both informal and confidential.
Please note that all applications must be received by Friday 5th August 2016 by 5pm. A panel will meet following this date to agree who will be appointed to DFC as an independent. Successful candidates will be notified.
If you have any queries with regards to this, contact Alex Cavanagh on 0800 169 1863 or email Alex.Cavanagh@TheFA.com
