Alabi aims to change the game on Saturday 28
The Heart4More Foundation will be hosting an Under 15’s football tournament for Bexley Borough Schools on Saturday 28 June at Erith School.
The tournament is to raise awareness of heart conditions in young people who play football as well as to raise funds for a community defibrillator. Prizes include a trophy, medals and tickets to watch Millwall, Tobi Alabi’s first club, next season.
Tobi founded the Heart4More Foundation in February 2014 with three aims: To bring more regular and in-depth cardiac screenings, to educate and empower the public through Tobi’s story and to use football as a driving force within the community. The Foundation is fully incorporated into the #Letschangethegame campaign to raise awareness of all heart conditions.
Troy Townsend, Kick It Out’s Mentoring and Leadership Manager is in full support of the event:
“Tobi has come through a lot and has experienced several heart issues in the past,” he said. “It would be easy to sit back and do nothing, so we can only congratulate Tobi and the Heart4More Foundation as they take such an active role in raising awareness of young people and heart conditions.”
The tournament kicks off from 10am on Saturday 28 June, priced at £20 a team.
