AFC Wimbledon maintain Korean connection
Nongshim, Korea Foods and AFC Wimbledon have announced the continuation of their sponsorship agreement for the 2013/14 season for the Nongshim Stand at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.
The agreement which started last January has been greatly received by the AFC Wimbledon fans and the local Korean community.
Dan Suh, Managing Director at Korea Foods said “AFC Wimbledon is a fantastic club to be working with. We have represented Nongshim for many years within the UK market and we are pleased that they could see the benefit that this sponsorship brings to their brand not only in the local community, but also through the TV coverage a club like AFC Wimbledon generates.
“Korea Foods are a family business and AFC Wimbledon is what we believe to be the epitome of a family club. We have had great support from the AFC fans in the previous six months since the initial deal was agreed, and we hope to further develop that relationship over the coming season.”
Charlie Kim, Team Manager of International Sales at Nongshim, added, “We saw great results from our sponsorship of the Nongshim Stand. AFC Wimbledon is in the heart of the Korean community in London and we hope we can encourage more AFC Wimbledon fans to try some of our Korean food.”
Ivor Heller, Commercial Director at AFC Wimbledon said “I’m delighted that Nongshim have renewed their sponsorship for this season. The partnership has grown significantly since the deal was agreed in January.
“We are committed to working closely with Nongshim and Korea Foods in order to see the progression of the relationship. I am looking forward to the AFC Wimbledon Korea day this season along with the various tasting sessions that will be taking place once again.”
