A.S.P.I.R.E. – Kick It Out’s Young Ambassador Group
In February 2016, Kick It Out launched A.S.P.I.R.E. – Ambassadors Supporting and Promoting Inclusion, Respect and Equality. The new young ambassador group are aged between 16-21 and will advise the organisation on how to help promote the message of equality in the game and society.
The purpose of the group is to ensure the next generation continues to challenge discrimination and promote inclusion.
Members of the group will provide a youth perspective on Kick It Out’s work and act as advisors and ambassadors for the organisation. Members will be encouraged to play an active role in the organisation’s work and also to progress as future leaders.
In return, Kick It Out will help develop the skills, confidence, experience and expertise of the group on equality and diversity in football.
Membership will last two years and during that time the group will achieve the three core aims below:
• To act as advisors to help shape Kick It Out’s work – By having this group to advise on engaging with young people more effectively.
• To act as young ambassadors for Kick It Out – As volunteers, members of the group will be representatives of the organisation. Equally as important, members are young ambassadors helping the organisation to be more representative and accountable to people up to the age of 21.
• To work towards becoming future leaders – Contributing to the group as ambassadors and advisors, the organisation will help the group on their journey to lead the next generation.
